Project Sunshine is a Non-Profit 501(c)(3) Organization that is committed to providing community outreach services. Project Sunshine was birthed in 2008 as an ‘out of pocket’ ministry and has dedicated many hours of work touching the lives of residents in Bridgeport, CT. Project Sunshine decided to obtain it’s Not for Profit status February 2025 with hopes to be able to reach more people within Fairfield County.
Many young people involved in gang/gun violence have benefitted from the programs and services offered through Project Sunshine’s unique approach to reaching our youth. We also have various group sessions and services for men and women of all ages.

G.H.O.S.T (God Hears Our Silent Tears) is our support group for women ages 17+ that deals with deep-rooted issues that cause toxic behaviors and have an adverse effect on the individual and their family.
Our Iron Sharpening men ages 30+ come together to provide each other with a sense of mental peace that delivers the message “even the strongest of soldiers in an army need support too!”.
These amazing men are also the mentors for our Y.A.D.U(Young Active Dads Unite), which is a group to help support our young fathers who are trying to be positive role-models for their children in spite of the relationship with the child’s mother. This group encourages healthy co-parenting and support.
